Found the Camera
Found the camera! It didn't have many great shots, but this was cute. Am has loved jumping on the trampoline! She's silly. It's been a great way for her to get some wiggles out while it's so hot outside.
A few cute ones of Amali in the front yard. She wanted to wear boots, so I put her in her horsey rain boots. Cute bug! Mauro loves when I put her hair in pigtails, although it doesn't last long! He wants her hair braided too, but she doesn't have enough for braids yet! She loves her hair being fixed, but pulls it out after a few hours. Silly.

School Year Once Again
Tomorrow is the official first day of school, at least here in Elgin. Although Amali is young, we try to keep her on a schedule during the school year to help her get used to the idea of focusing and learning. I started this last semester, and tried to stick with it somewhat during the summer too. But with traveling and playdates, we got completely off target! Learning as we go...
So this is the schedule for this school year. Next year I will focus more on the TEKS of preK, which I am excited about doing! This year will be less formal and more open to interpretation.
M -Imagination and Service
T - Reading and Art
W - Cooking and Sport
R - Science and Music
F - Basics and Freeplay
Basics include letters, numbers, colors, etc. I am trying to teach her all of these in English and Spanish, with my limited skillset in Spanish. The other day, someone asked her how she was doing, and she said "bien." :) Doing some good!
We have Kaylee again this year, after school until her mom or dad pics her up. We love having her around, she adds so much fun to our lives! I want to be more structured with her too, but have been going back and forth on that. She does need to spend some time on her homework, so she can spend that time with her family in the evenings. And I want to take them to play each day also, depending on weather. And Am is getting old enough that they can go in the back yard and play together, which I am excited about! I really want to get a playscape back there but we haven't had the time to do it. Maybe this fall...
Speaking of fall, it's time to till for our garden! There is so much prep to be done out there, we just have not wanted to with this HEAT! We had hoped to clean the garage this weekend, and prep the garden next. Since that didn't happen, we're off a week. All in due time.
