ELEVEN Days Together! ELEVEN!!!

Mauro has been working his tail off this year. Putting in 50-75 hour weeks, spending more time in his van and on a job site then in his home! So he decided to take a FULL ELEVEN days off, and none of us were going to separate at any point of these 11 days. Need to potty? We'll all go together. Okay, maybe not that serious but we were determined to spend some serious quality family time. And we did! And loved every second of it. Mauro was sick for most of it, but with an adorable, caring wife (oh hey, that's me) he was still able to enjoy his time at home and on vacation! The first half of our eleven days was spent in Oklahoma. A delightful family destination in my opinion. There are great parks, beautiful scenery, and the cherry on the top, family to visit! We were honored to attend the retirement ceremony and celebration of his Uncle Randolph from the Air Force -22 years of service. And spent the next day playing with cousins! Then we went to Arbuckle Wilderness, which Amali thought was hilarious and loved every second. We camped for a few days in the Chickasaw NRA... I highly recommend camping during the week. There are no people, just nature and quiet and beauty all around. We all felt the natural rejuvenation of our spirits. We hiked, we cooked, we talked, and we laughed. It was everything a family trip should be. Then, we spent the second half of our 11 days at home! Snuggling, playing, gardening, reading, and planning. When it was over, we felt blessed to have spent so much wonderful minutes together. I love my family! (do i end every post that way?)

Here are some fantastic photos of our fantastic Eleven Days.
