Singing Loud For All To Hear

Is of course the best way to spread Christmas cheer!

Last night we had our lovely friends Devon, Kaylee, and Megan, and their friend Jade and Alyssa over for dinner and soap making. It was a fun night and I was so glad to spend some time with these great women! We got soap made, Rosemary. Yum! Forgot to take pictures. Kaylee stayed the night and we took her to school early this morning. It was great! Oh except Amali was so excited she didn't fall asleep until 11. Way after Kaylee.

Then today was our Christmas Cookie Decorating! I made 4 dozen each of gingerbread men and sugar cookies, and had some sugar cones for 'trees.' They all turned out great! Only problem was the sugar cookies aren't the kind you roll out and cut into shapes, believe me I tried. Did not work. Oh well. There was a great turnout and everyone had a fun time. The kiddos focused on decorating for a while, then playing! Moms helped everyone not spill or use too much frosting, and then while the kiddos played we all sat around talking and laughing and eating lunch. I felt so blessed to have these wonderful women in my life, the example they are to me is incredible. I love each of them for different reasons, and am so thankful for their friendship. Most of them are homeschooling, and have different ages of kiddos. Its wonderful to hear their triumphs and trials, so that I can be better informed when we start homeschooling too. What a nice way to celebrate this holiday season!
